INTRODUCTION TO THE JAPAN FOUNDATION
Every year, The Japan Foundation implements a wide range of grant programs and fellowships to promote international cooperation and exchange in three main fields:
• Arts & Cultural Exchange
• Japanese Studies & International Dialogues
• Japanese-Language Education
These programs include financial support for projects, research fellowships, specialized training programs for cultural/academic experts and Japanese-language teachers, as well as other forms of assistance.
Programs directly administered by The Japan Foundation are received at the Foundation’s centers or overseas offices (in Vietnam: Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam) and then forwarded to the Foundation Headquarters in Japan for review.

• Every September, the Foundation announces the Program Guidelines for the upcoming fiscal year (April 1 – March 31).
