The Japan Foundation, established in 1972 under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, is dedicated to promoting international cultural exchange.
The Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam was inaugurated in Hanoi in March 2008 with the approval of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Vietnam. As an overseas representative office of the Japan Foundation, the Center collaborates extensively with numerous Vietnamese government agencies, cultural and artistic organizations, and educational institutions to implement initiatives in three core areas: cultural and artistic exchange, Japanese language education, and Japanese studies alongside international dialogue.
By facilitating exchange through these key pillars of “Culture”, “Language” and “Dialog”, our Center strives to bridge Japan, Vietnam, and the broader global community, fostering greater empathy, building connections and mutual trust among people.
