8 films ranging from classical masterpieces to latest ones

On the auspicious occasion of the 1000th Anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi, the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam, in cooperation with the Consulate-General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City, BHD Co., Ltd. and Hai Phong Film Distribution and Cinema Center, proudly presents Japanese Film Festival 2010 in Hanoi, Hai Phong, Nha Trang and Ho Chi Minh City from October – November 2010.

The selected films this year remind us of the “flow of time,” ranging from the classical masterpieces of Akira Kurosawa & Kenji Mizoguchi, Rashomon (1950) & Sansho the Bailiff (1954) respectively, which depict people living in Japan 1000 years ago in Heian era (794-1192), to latest slapstick comedy Happy Flight (2008) by Shinobu Yaguchi in which airline & airport staffs are struggling with a series of troubles in one flight. 8 Japanese films in total will be screened with Vietnamese voice over.

We hope you will enjoy the diversity of films with your beloved families and friends. Free admission tickets are available in each city.
