On the day of 27 March, 2010, invited by The Japan Foundation, eleven of outstanding Vietnamese famous people working in art fields will come to Japan to join an exchange program called “Cultural Leaders”. This is one of activities welcoming the second year of The Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam (The Japan Foundation).
Gathering from the Northern, Southern and central areas of Vietnam, the invited cultural leaders are working in different fields as follow (Participants’ brief introductions are in the following page):
– Literature: Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thuan (Writer), Mr. Cao Viet Dung (Translator) and Ms. Tran Huyen Sam (Literature critic)
– Stage Art : Mr. Nguyen Thanh Loc (Actor, Director)
– Music: Mr. Truong Duc Tri (Composer) and Ms. Pham Khanh Linh (Singer)
– Animation film: Mr. Huynh Vinh Son (Director)
– Movie: Mr. Nguyen Quang Dung (Director)
– Architecture: Mr. Nguyen Vinh Tien (Architecture, Poet, and Music Composer)
– Press: Ms. Do Thu Ha (Journalist)
– Visual Art: Nguyen Nhu Huy (Curator, Visual Artist)
This is the first experience in Japan for all the visitors. The most suitable schedule is made to meet all the cultural leaders’ requirements. The trip, hopefully, will inspires those visitors for their careers and future projects. Moreover, with their experience, The Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam will have their consolation for upcoming Vietnam- Japan cultural exchange events.
The Japan Foundation covers all the expense for this 10 days visit to Japan for all cultural leaders. They will all come back to Hanoi for a press conference on 8th April, 2010 at Nikko Hotel, Hanoi.
