The Japan Foundation is Japan’s principal organization for promoting international cultural exchange. Opened in 2008, the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam (hereinafter called “the Center”), one of the foundation’s newest overseas offices, has been enthusiastically implementing a diverse range of cultural activities including art, culture and society, and coordinating various programs supporting Japanese language education and Japan studies, in cooperation with the Vietnamese counterparts.

We are looking for a Receptionist at our Center and Library with the following conditions:

Main tasks in charge:

– To answer phones and to transfer to appropriate staff members

– To greet public and clients and to direct them to the correct staff members

– To receive, sort and distribute incoming mails

– Coordination of messenger services

– To monitor and maintain office supplies

– Handling library locker keys to library users

– Logistics support for meetings, events

– Other occasional tasks assigned by superiors

Qualifications:

– Age around 25 with Vietnamese nationality

– Not pregnant as of the applying day

– Holding a Bachelor degree in relevant field

– A good command of English

– A fair knowledge of Japanese (Or at least eagerness to learn Japanese)

– Strong and enthusiastic interest in Japanese arts and culture

– Basic knowledge on using Microsoft Office (word, excel, access, etc.)

– Good team player with strong interpersonal skills

– A good attitude to warmly welcoming guests

Working conditions:

– Working days: Monday to Friday

–  Working time: 08:30 to 17:30

–  Salary: Upon negotiation (within a modest scale)

–  Benefits: annual leave, a social and health insurance and so on.
