The Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam, in cooperation with Japan Origami – Airplane Association, hosts a workshop on Origami – Airplane in Hanoi on Wednesday 23 May 2012.
Paper airplanes are among the most classic of toys ever invented. Many a kid has tossed one out of windows at school or at home, or on street. Combined with the art of Origami or the traditional Japanese art of paper folding, this popular toy has been developed into a popular art form with a lot of different folding ways to make the best airplane flying highest and longest.
In this workshop, Mr. Hitoshi Kimura, the president of Japan Origami – Airplane Association, will instruct you how to make several types of airplanes with the tips to make them fly higher and longer, based on his scientific knowledge.
In the process of making a better origami – airplane, you will also learn how to think something scientifically. This workshop is, thus, not only for kids but also for teenagers and adults who are curious why airplanes can fly in the air.
