Event

The Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam participates in Hanoi Sound Stuff 2012 by bringing a young Japanese duo, Takahiro Kido & Yuki Murata for the first day of the festival on Friday 13 April 2012.

Kido & Murata are both members of neoclassical/post-rock band “Anoice” whose albums have been released under the American label “Important Records” and have been highly acclaimed not only by music enthusiasts but also by legendary musicians such as Sonic Youth (the US) and MONO (Japan).

Their music drifts around the boundaries of experimentation and ambience with classical instruments such as the piano and guitars, and lead us to the blissful experience of a musical journey. In their first act in Hanoi, Kido & Murata, also known as “cru” as a duo, will perform their solo works as well as Anoice’s, with the support of Kenichi Kai (Laptop/electronics). Also on the same day, Tri Minh & Michael Moller group, Sweet Susie & Manni Montana will play their music.

We do hope, with the enthusiastic efforts of the festival director Tri Minh and the supports from co-organizers and sponsors, including the Onion Cellar, Hanoi Sound Stuff 2012 will be an excellent platform to experience the diversity of music for all music lovers in Hanoi.

The tickets are available in advance and at the entrance on the day of the performance. With the price of 100,000 VND, the tickets are on sales at Aga Shop (39 Hang Bai, Hoan Kiem), Goethe Institute Hanoi (56-68 Nguyen Thai Hoc, Ba Dinh) and the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam (27 Quang Trung, Hoan Kiem).
