The 12th JAPANESE FILM FESTIVAL in Vietnam

The Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam proudly present the 12th Japanese Film Festival in Vietnam from December 25, 2020 – January 22, 2021. 14 Japanese movies across different genres such as comedy, family, crime, anime, documentary, musical, sci-fi and so on will be introduced to Vietnamese audience. The festival will also bring a surprise to audience with the return of a veteran Japanese actress in “One Night”, a Japanese movie among JFF film list. She used to play the heroine in a popular Japanese classic serialized TV drama in Vietnam that links with the memories of Vietnamese audience of all ages. Please join the festival to discover who this mysterious actress is!
In response to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide, the Japanese Film Festival 2020 in overseas are being shifted online. In Vietnam, the festival is organized in 2 ways: JFF Real (Japanese film screenings at cinema) và JFF Online (Japanese film screenings online).
In Hanoi, the JFF Real is to be held on December 25 – 31, 2020 at the National Cinema Center (87 Lang Ha St., Ba Dinh Dist., Hanoi). The schedule for Ho Chi Minh city is being delayed due to the recent breakout of the corona virus in this city. However, GOOD NEWS FOR EVERYONE! The website for the Japanese Film Festival Online has been developed lately and will soon open in Vietnam on January 13 – 22, 2021. The site has a wide variety of movies, genres with flexible screening schedule and no limit of viewers, thus, people can watch “Japanese Films Anytime, Anywhere” which is also the slogan we stand for.
