[ORIGAMI x CULTURE] ORIGAMI TUTORIAL SERIES
Japan is extremely famous for Origami. In Origami, “Folding” method is mainly used to create a variety of figures. Through Origami, The Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam, in collaboration with Vietnam Origami Group, aims to introduce Japanese culture with ORIGAMI x CULTURE online series.
ORIGAMI x CULTURE #12: KINGFISHER
In Japanese language, kingfisher is called “jadeite” for its charming beauty. To portrait that curvy beauty, the author Nguyễn Võ Hiến Chương (Vietnam Origami Group) uses 3D folding technique, the same technique used in his origami “Mouse” in the first episode. This “final boss” is somewhat difficult, but no worries, Polaris and Nguyễn Hùng Cường (Vietnam Origami Group) is here to guide you step by step. Don’t forget to upload your folding on Facebook with the hashtag #origamixculture.
