[ORIGAMI x CULTURE] ORIGAMI TUTORIAL SERIES
Japan is extremely famous for Origami. In Origami, “Folding” method is mainly used to create a variety of figures. Through Origami, The Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam, in collaboration with Vietnam Origami Group, aims to introduce Japanese culture with ORIGAMI x CULTURE online series.

Beginning the ORIGAMI x CULTURE series is Mouse, the first of both Vietnamese and Japanese zodiac. This pattern is designed by Nguyen Vo Hien Chuong, a member of Vietnam Origami Group. THE JAPAN FOUNDATION CENTER FOR CULTURAL EXCHANGE IN VIETNAM
The Japan Foundation, affiliated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is a special legal entity specialized in promoting cultural exchange activities in other countries. The Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam was founded in March 2008 as one of The Japan Foundation offices abroad, and is active in many cultural activities to promote cultural exchange and create cultural diversity in Vietnam. Many activities are held to support Japanese Language Education, Arts and Cultural Exchange (performances, exhibitions, concerts, film festivals), and Japanese Studies – Intellectual Exchange.

VIETNAM ORIGAMI GROUP
Founded in 2005 with around 30 members, Vietnam Origami Group gather Origami lovers throughout Vietnam. Until now, they have organized many exhibitions, workshops to introduce, teach Origami at schools, centers, cultural centers and cultural events throughout the country. Their talented members have become known and invited to international exhibitions, introduced Vietnamese people to the world through Origami.
