With no new case of covid 19 infection in Vietnam confirmed, The Japan Foundation Center for Cultural in Vietnam together with BHD Star Cineplex would like to restart the 𝗕𝗛𝗗 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥 𝗖𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗫 𝗝𝗔𝗣𝗔𝗡 𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗯𝘆 𝗝𝗙𝗙 starting from 𝟐𝟓 𝐒𝐞𝐩 𝐭𝐨 𝟐𝟓 𝐎𝐜𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟎 in Hanoi, Hue and Ho Chi Minh City.
At the JAPAN HOUR, five Japanese films across different genres such as romance, animals, samurai, family, etc. that are produced and released by famous Japanese film studio Shochiku will be screened at three cinemas of the BHD STAR CINEPLEX in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Hue. We hope audience enjoy the films and deepen their interest in Japan.
The festival’s opener is LOVE AND HONOR by Oscar nominated director Yamada Yoji which depicts a strong and deep love between a young samurai who loses his eyesight during a mission and his wife who eventually sacrifices herself to save her husband’s honor. The film opened in Japan with big Box Office success, projected for US$50million domestically.
