A free and interesting event for kids

Referring to December, every child will surely think of Christmas. However, December is also the time to farewell the old year and to welcome the new year.

So kids, do you want to know what Japanese people do on traditional New Year?

On this special occassion, the Library of The Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam will hold an Ehon reading activity, and children will be read two interesting ehons books entitled “Rukkio and Furifuri’s First Christmas ” and ” Guri and Gura’s Spring Cleaning”. Come listen and find out if the Christmas holiday of the Rukkio and Furifuri cats is different from us and how the two voles Guri Gura will clean the house to prepare for the New Year!

In addition, as a special activity of this year end, children will participate in learning to sing a Japanese New Year’s song ”お正月（Oshogatsu）” with live music. In the lyrics of this song, some Japanese traditional toys appear because they are often played by children on New Year. So children can learn and experience it by singing in Japanese together.
